Status feedback and metadata are provided by many integrated devices and can be displayed on RTI remote controls, touch panels, and keypads. Feedback allows you to monitor the status of integrated devices, such as lights, shades, audio visual zones, and water features. Metadata is dynamic data such as the volume level of a surround sound receiver, iPod playlists and song titles, satellite radio channels and song titles, lighting levels, climate settings, and much more. Metadata allows you to peruse your iPod menus, satellite radio stations, news reports, weather reports, and airport flight data right on your touchpanel or remote control.

Automation includes programming a system to perform certain functions under certain conditions. Lights can be automated to turn on or off according to the time of day, sunset, sunrise, or motion to increase the security and convenience of your property at night. Motorized devices, such as shades, windows, and water pumps can be automated to turn on and off on a schedule or based on dynamic conditions. Climate settings can be adjusted automatically based on a schedule and based on house occupancy.

User Interfaces manufactured by Remote Technologies, Inc. (RTI) include a variety of handheld remote controls, wireless touch panels, and wall mounted touch panels and keypads. Additional user interfaces include a web control interface that simulates a touch panel. User interfaces will be programmed with intuitive controls and feedback customized for each application. For simple remote control applications, RTI’s handheld remote controls are also capable of directly replacing existing remote controls without any additional equipment. With all of these options, Advanced Electronics Integration has a control solution for any budget.

A Control Processor processes commands between the user interfaces and integrated components. A simple remote control processor allows control of equipment through walls and cabinets using RF (radio frequency) signals. A more advanced remote control processor adds advanced control and essential integration capabilities for one or two rooms. A central control processor is used for advanced, whole home integration and automation with nearly endless possibilities.

Audio / Video integration can be as simple as a single remote control to eliminate table top clutter and improve convenience with single button source selection. A whole home distributed audio visual system can be controlled easily from any user interface or house scene. The Away scene will ensure that all of your audio visual systems are shut down when you leave home.

Lighting control integration enables lighting features to be controlled and monitored from the same control system that controls other integrated systems. Water flow rates, modes of operation, temperature, and covers can all be controlled and monitored from specified user interfaces.
